The extension turns the Gmail or Outlook conversation you are viewing into one styled document. It works on that open conversation only—not your entire mailbox, a folder, or a batch of unrelated messages—so you stay in control of exactly what gets exported.
The complete open conversation
Messages from the conversation in view are collected in chronological order into one document, within the tested conversation and page limits. The extension does not export your whole mailbox or combine unrelated conversations in bulk.
Useful details and readable formatting
The result keeps the subject, sender, recipients, Cc when available, and date for each message. Safe body formatting, valid web and email links, and inline images are retained when they can be retrieved.
A PDF ready to use
Chrome downloads a styled, potentially multi-page PDF with a filename based on the conversation subject. Keep it as a reference, print it, or share the downloaded file yourself.

How to save an email as a PDF
Open the conversation, start the export, and Chrome downloads the result. Before extraction, the extension attempts to expand the messages in the conversation. Common layouts are preserved in a readable form, but unusual or unsupported formatting may not look exactly as it does in webmail.

Open the conversation
In desktop Google Chrome, open the Gmail or Outlook on the web conversation you want to keep. The extension works with the conversation currently displayed, not a mailbox-wide selection.

Choose Export to PDF
Open the extension popup and select Export to PDF. In Gmail, you can also use the Export to PDF action added to the conversation toolbar.

Download the finished file
The extension builds the document locally in Chrome, then downloads it to your normal download destination. The filename is taken from the email subject when one is available.

Built for Gmail and Outlook on the web
Email to PDF works with supported Gmail and Outlook web conversations opened in desktop Google Chrome. It does not require an uploaded email file: the extension reads the conversation already open in the browser and prepares the document from there.
Outlook on the web
Outlook web accounts are supported at outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com, and outlook.cloud.microsoft. Open the conversation in Chrome, then run the export from the extension popup.
Google Chrome
Email to PDF requires desktop Google Chrome version 109 or later. It is a Chrome extension rather than a mobile app or a general-purpose converter for other browsers.

What the PDF preserves—and what it leaves out
The generated file is a styled, readable record of the open conversation. It keeps useful message content and metadata where available, but it is not a pixel-perfect copy of every webmail layout and does not convert downloadable attachments.

How do I download the finished document?
